They perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost, risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
  • What your background should look like:,ROLE OBJECTIVE,The Embedded Software Engineer will report to the Supervisor Software Engineering, Energy and will be a member of the Electronic and Sensor Integration Engineering team and responsible for the development of software for systems and products and will support all TE Energy product lines including Crompton Instruments (Power mete), Cable Accessories, Insulation & Protection and Connecto & fittings for LV, MV & HV applications
  • RESPONSIBILITIES, All aspects of the software development life cycle:,o Requirements capture,o Feasibility study and architecture definition,o Software design & implementation,o Integration and validation test, Core team member of project teams to develop new products/processes from seed to market place using LDFSS tools, techniques, TE Project and metrics, Support product compliance and approvals for all new products and platforms as required by our custome
  • Work closely with Product Management, Sales and custome on the identification and development of new products, Provision of technical product support and training to our manufacturing, sales organizations and custome, Be a strong technical partner and provide support to Product management teams. Attend/support customer meetings, technology days and site visits as required
  • Recording results of design reviews and design decision meetings and report writing,EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE, Computing/Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree, >3 yea experience in an R&D environment, C/C programming, Event driven application development, Micro-controller development for Murata, Renesas, PIC, Microchip, Silicon Labs processor families without proprietary OS
  • Semtec, Embedded Linux and development of applications on Linux platform, Low level micro controller development, e.g. device drive, configuring clocking modes, power management and bringing up device, Appreciation of digital circuitry, Developing and implementing network protocols e.g. TCP, IPv4 or proprietary protocol, Implementation of security protocols, Software development life cycle, Continuous process improvement, Self-motivated individual with the ability to work under minimal supervision is crucial
