• Role Summary:This is a critical position in a globally distributed organization presents a unique opportunity to develop products that define healthcare solutions globally.You will be responsible for designing developing & testing software developed by the Imaging and Care Area Solutions teamEssential Responsibilities:Your Day at GE:You will own a product component feature and or feature set and design develop and maintain new/existing solutions.You will be part of a scrum team that includes software engineers verification engineers product owner and software architects.You will work in an Agile scrum team and handle the design implementation and testing responsibilities of your work product.You will resolve install base issues related to your product by determining root cause of failures/complaints determining resolution and updating code base/procedures to prevent similar failures from occurring in the future.You will be involved in engineering efforts to improve product and process quality.You will be an active participant in backlog grooming program increment readiness and planning events.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science Technology Engineering and Math).A minimum of 3 years of professional experience on Java/J2EE.Hands on development experience in Core Java Spring Web services.Experience using tools like Eclipse Clearcase and Maven/Ant.Experience with unit testing using JUnit and mock frameworks.Creative problem solver and open to learning new technologies.Nice to have experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript HTML5 CSS AngularJS.Desired Characteristics:A dedicated developer who understands issues and presents clear rationale.Has the ability to take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using self discretion to seek help when necessary.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.About Us:GE (NYSE:GE) drives the world forward by tackling its biggest challenges.
