More than 2500 institutions in 50 countries around the world look to Ellucian for the ideas and insights that will move education forward helping people everywhere discover their futures through learning.Ellucian is seeking software developers to join our growing team building next generation SaaS-based applications.Key Responsibilities:Design develop test and implement high quality enterprise software as a member of a creative agile development team creating solutions that exceed customer expectationsAbility to work in a fast-paced delivery focused environmentEngage in continuous learning and adoption of new concepts technologies and functionality and share with your colleaguesDemonstrate ownership from specification review to final testingActively participate within agile development ceremonies (sprint reviews planning scrums)Perform assigned tasks and volunteer for tasks when not explicitly assigned.Requirements:Degree in computer science software engineering or similar course of studyHighly motivated self-starter with advanced capability to quickly learn and work with new technologies and complex technical environments including a variety of databases and operating systemsWorking knowledge of git and collaborative development practices (e.g. Pull Requests feature branches)Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL developmentWorking knowledge of Oracle SQL and pl/sqlWorking knowledge of core Java Eclipse IntelliJUnderstanding of agile development practices including ScrumExcellent verbal and written communication skills
