• About the JobAkamai Luna/OPEN team is looking for a passionate Java/JEE developer to be part of a highly talented team that is creating complex enterprise-transforming applications for portal offering of Akamai. An ideal candidate should have minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Java and JEE domain expected to be comfortable with developing applications from scratch using latest tools and techniques and a champion of Test Driven Development. Along with work experience code contributions in Github as well as active community participation through websites such as Stackoverflow and other technical forums would be highly appreciatedResponsibilities Develop customer-facing web applications using Java/J2EE Design and develop RESTful APIs Develop applications focused on usability performance and robustness Work with other engineering teams to identify system dependencies and work on implementations under strict product release schedules. Understand the business domain deeply and work closely with business stakeholdersBasic Qualification A Graduate or Post graduate in Computer Science/Information Technology from a reputed college 2 years of development and delivery experience in Java/J2EE domain Hands-on experience in analysis design coding and implementation of complex custom-built applications Great Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) skills including strong design patterns knowledge Experience in Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) such as ReST. Experience with relational databases such as MySQL Oracle. Knowledge of software best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) Experience with Git Experience working in Linux/Unix environment Desire to contribute to the wider technical community through collaboration with other technologistsExperience working with or an interest in Agile Methodologies such as ScrumDesired Qualification Basic knowledge of NoSQL preferably Cassandra. Basic knowledge of UI Technologies like AngularJS HTML 5 and CSS. Basic knowledge of Spring Integration/Spring Boot REST API services Basic knowledge of Java 8 and lambda expressions Experience working with Docker
