SQL Support Engineer,Software Engineer

Job Description

• Provide assistance to the Buy and Sell side clients and the research providers on technical functional or a combination of both type of queries as well as queries related to the application usage or functionalities.Provide technical assistance to the Client Implementation/Onboarding team to onboard new clients and help set up the client instance.Daily monitoring of data/configuration issues related to the application identification of the underlying problem and ensuring fix for the same.Daily status reports on scheduled tasks and escalating the issues to senior management in timely mannerCreating and maintaining the documentation of the operational processes application usage and technical repository.Closely monitor application health to ensure minimal service impact.Assist client technical teams on setting up automated trade and interactions file uploader (Proprietary APIs and SFTP).Aiding internal teams with application deployment/releases and the database refresh for staging environments.Collaborate with the Product team to brainstorm Improvements and enhancements suggestions.Script in preventive checks to proactively capture the potential data and configuration issues.Work closely with CSA teams on both AM and Brokers side for timely action on their reconciliation data issues.Maintaining sanity of the user accounts by proactively liaising with clients and research providers on bounce notifications.Implement changes and improvements to the procedures and processes to cope with a rapidlyevolving environment.Ensure that mitigating actions and processes take place when any of the automated processes break down.Masters or Graduation degree in Computer Engineering/ IT.Microsoft Certification in SQL Server is an added advantage.Domain certifications will be an added advantageHigh levels of academic achievement.MS SQL SERVER 2008/2012/2016 (T-SQL) PL/SQLStrong fundamentals in Relational Database Management SystemMust have technical aptitude to learn new technologiesExposure to dev-ops tools like Jenkins/Octopus or similar technologiesExposure to source control tools like SVN/GIT/TFSAwareness to scripting languages like Python VBA shell scripting etc.Understanding of Capital Markets / Asset Management Systems & Operations/ Investment Banking.Awareness of Equity and fixed income instruments and its related attributes.Any awareness to MIFID 2 Research Unbundling and Commissions Sharing agreements is an added advantage.Excellent problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to deal credibly with business.Can-do attitude.Strong experience in Product Applications Support in Financial Services environment.
