Approval: Operating Company: Target India Job Code: Date: PRIMARY FUNCTION DFE is an AI/ ML driven enterprise demand forecast product (software as a service) being consumed by customers across supply- chain merchandising and Store operations. DFE forecast helps them make effective merch planning and inventory planning decisions. This role is expected to define and build DFE insights and measurement product in service of its customers in supply- chain and merchandising Volume : ~50TB of Data consumed as inputs 20 pipelines running in production every day on 23.4 billion forecasts generated every day (over 250K items at all locations for up to 52 weeks ahead 4.4 TB every day) Variety : uses numeric and textual data to interpret demand drivers and predict future demand Velocity : input and output data process every 24 hours API serves ~5 million requests/ day (with max throughput ~1 500 000 requests/ hour) About the role This position will be responsible for building and maintaining data insights and measurement platform for DFE. Objectives and key results (OKRs) includes design and execution of DFE forecast quality metrics for different forecast use- cases design forecast validation solution design solutions for programmatic Anamoly detection of forecast inputs and outputs design solutions for forecast performance alerts and notifications design solutions for executive and tactical forecast review and publish The Product Owner will work with users stakeholders data science and engineering teams to define build and deliver products against these initiatives. This role is expected to travel to Sunnyvale and MSP twice a year. Normal working hours for this role will be 11 pm to 9 pm IST ; with occasional occurances of meetings beyond 9 pm IST 70 time spend with development team in bangalore 30 time with users/ stakeholders in MSP COE Analytics Lead Product Owner Data Science & Engineering 6 Data Science & Engineering 2 PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES User and product research o Conduct user research document user stories o Research and analyze market the users and the roadmap for the product o Follow our competitors and the industry o Define the product- market fit. User testing o Building product prototypes wireframes o Define product performance KPIs o Conduct usability tests user testing o Define and execute product growth strategy Product release o Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities o Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/ Sprint Goals Product vision and backlog grooming o Define product vision road- map and growth opportunities o Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product o Work closely with Product Management leadership to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI o Provide backlog management iteration planning and elaboration of the user stories o Assess value develop cases and prioritize stories epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy. Agile methodologies o Take lead of scrum team as the Product Owner o Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the product and create requirements o Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on o Keep abreast with Agile/ Scrum best practices and new trends o Encourages the open exchange of information and viewpoints Job Title: PG: REPORTING/ WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to Director Product Management. • JOB REQUIREMENTS DESIRED REQUIREMENTS: Overall experience of 8- 12 years Previous working experience as a Product Owner for 4- 6 years Masters in Computer Science Engineering or similar relevant field Or MBA in a tier- 1 institute In- depth knowledge of Agile process and principles Outstanding communication presentation and leadership skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Sharp analytical and problem- solving skills Creative thinker with a vision Attention to details Systems and business analysis experience for the purpose of requirements documentation and working Lead Product Owner 6 3 through issues as part of a team. Understanding of business cycles and fundamental accounting concepts Strong user focus and ability to manage expectations. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities. Technical skills Ability to use web- based user research tools user testing tools Domain experience in Retail demand forecasting Basic/ intermediate experience in any of these querying languages- SQL Hive Proficient in either one of the analytical platform- R (Packages) or Python packages (matplotlib Numpy Seaborn Pandas) Proficient in RShiny or other equivalent canned web prototype development tools Proficient in BI tools like Tableau Domo etc. Hands on experience in statistical testing and measurement forecasting validations Excellent stakeholders communication - written verbal and telephonic Ability to do quick analysis and summarize results on MS Excel Powerpoint Added advantage if experience on big data technologies (MapReduce Spark etc.) This description is intended as a guide only.
