• Job description information Main accountabilities Weekly monitoring of competitors IP based on defined patent search profiles asses documents and assign relevant documents to technical fields and distribute results to engineering via data base solutions. Review of incoming invention disclosures clarification of unclear issues with inventors. Docket of invention disclosures and evaluate novelty by conducting prior art searches. Carry out individual searches in public and commercial databases including state of the art searches novelty searches invalidity searches freedom to operate searches literature and market researches depending on search requests (see appendix search form). Assess patent situation and present findings. Maintain internal databases and office systems including data management and filing. Prepare various reports and presentation materials including analysis of claim features preparation of claim charts. Support the administration for search and opposition files. Giving advice to local engineering colleagues with regard to search topics and tools. Job requirements (qualifications skills experience competencies) At least Bachelor degree in the field of engineering preferably mechanical engineering or natural sciences Filtration and/or automotive know-how as well as system understanding (engine flow acoustics materials) Basic knowledge in the field of intellectual property Preferably 1-2 years of work experience on patent searching Interpersonal understanding analytical thinking organization awareness self control flexibility Fluency in technical English (written and spoken) Please refer to the Job description above
