• Job Description Cloud Engineering DevOps Arity Shift: 1 to 9.30PM IST Role: Consultant - Cloud Engineering - DevOPS Arity is a technology company founded by Allstate that uses data science and predictive analytics to transform massive amounts of data into actionable insights. We are revolutionizing transportation by leveraging our expertise in risk modeling including analyzing more than 25 billion miles and 85 years of insurance driving data. From data collection to risk scoring Arity offers solutions to help keep drivers and customers safe secure and on the road. The Role At Arity we are utilizing cutting edge web services and cloud technologies to deliver amazing capabilities and products. We are searching for a highly talented and technical cloud DevOps engineer who can help design implement and deploy our next generation streaming and analytics platform to the cloud. A successful candidate will collaborate with engineering teams in Arity to implement and migrate solutions and workloads onto AWS. This person will help to build the infrastructure and tools to enable a DevOps environment and culture in a cloud - based architecture (AWS). Work on a wide range of innovative AWS use cases Set - up and configure AWS services to best practices Develop best practices for automated software deployment and configuration management Create and modify scripts for the automation of the AWS platform (Infrastructure as Code) Create code assets and tools to accelerate custom product development Coach product engineering teams to be self - sufficient Qualifications : BS level technical degree required Computer Science or Engineering background preferred 2+ years of experience as a technical specialist in a cloud - based environment Hands - on technical practitioner Experience with Git and Jenkins Experience in DevOps and Agile methodology Experience with Chef Puppet Salt or Ansible in production environments with many nodes. Familiarity with CloudFormation and JSON. Strong scripting skills i.e. Powershell Python Bash Ruby Perl etc. Strong understanding of cloud networking architecture cloud operations security automation and orchestration Experience migrating applications from traditional data center infrastructures to hybrid or fully - cloud based environments. AWS Certification is required Experience with Cassandra Kafka and Hadoop a plus Strong written and oral communication skills Able to work independently or within a team Organized responsive and highly thorough problem solver Job Qualifications
