• , PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:, , , A: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:, , 1. Ensure a safe working arena for Maintenance personnel and that safety standards are met in accordance with company policy, State and Federal regulations
• 2. Coordinate the daily and weekly operation of the Maintenance Department, 3. Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisors to ensure daily and weekly tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner, 4. Works closely with other department Supervisors and Assistant Managers (Production, Electrical, Quarry, Automation) to ensure that tasks are completed in a planned and coordinated fashion, 5. Understand maintenance cost drivers and promote cost effective solutions amongst maintenance personnel, 6. Assist and provide guidance to Maintenance Supervisors to resolve HR and ER related issues, 7. Assist Maintenance Manager in developing short to mid-term maintenance plans, Preventive maintenance plan, ensures the highest planned work compliance, 8. Understand the knowledge, skills, and abilities of each maintenance employee to select, train, and provide guidance and inspiration through leadership and teamwork to ensure empowered work teams, 9. Review deficiencies noted during corrective maintenance, properly channel these issues toward execution, 10. Maintain and advise on the use and disposition of stock items and surplus items, 11. Consult with Maintenance Supervisors and craft workers on technical problems, 12. Ensure proper tool availability to improve the maintenance efficiency, 13. Monitor shop qualifications and quality standards for outside contractors, 14. Assist Maintenance Manager in developing and executing major maintenance overhauls and outages, 15. Ensure that all supervisors and tradespersons are properly educated and trained, , , B: REQUIREMENTS:, , The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences: , , 1. bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience, 2. Experience in a heavy & Low industrial environment; preferably in the F & B industry, 3. Must have previous supervisory experience, 4. Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and blueprints, 5. Demonstrated ability to analyze failures and implement effective corrective solutions, 6. Effective communication skills to influence all levels of personnel and to create change, 7. Demonstrated leadership ability to influence safety practices and initiatives, 8. Ability to work as a team member with strong time management and record keeping skills, 9. Ability to develop work schedules and coordinate projects/assignments to meet deadlines, 10. Able to conduct area/job inspections to ensure work completed without defects and is in compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements, 11. Must have knowledge of industrial plant mechanical and welding concepts/applications, 12. Good written and oral communication skills, 13. Good understanding of procurement policies including contract administration, 14. Must have availability to work some nights/weekends and off-hour call outs, 15.
